Coming soon to the NFT market is IKONICK’s Nature line of canvas art.

By giving potential collectors the chance to take part in an interactive story that is focused on sneaker culture, the upcoming project aims to pave the way for sneaker culture’s continued presence in the NFT landscape.

Of course, an NFT collection falls under the purview of that franchise, which is in rarefied air as “the first franchise developed around sneaker culture,” according to the official Sneaks Of Nature OpenSea page. A Sneaks Of Nature NFT holder can “engage with the story, unlock future utility, and own upside in the franchise” by possessing one of the 3,333 available tokens.

IKONICK’s path to relevance wasn’t an easy one. The business didn’t start spending in digital marketing until 2017, despite starting in 2015. Despite the fact that this investment increased IKONICK’s reach, Cole’s development as an artist was negatively impacted by the entrepreneurial mindset he had to adopt to get IKONICK to where it is today.

“There is the artist in me, and there is the businessman in me. I’m always in the mindset of an artist. I would prefer for that to be the other way around, and NFTs have [made that] possible,” Cole said.

The founders of IKONICK, Jeff Cole and Mark Brazil, spoke with nft now about how the brand’s journey incorporated the energy of Web3 from the beginning. Cole’s 2013 superimposition of a pair of Yeezys on Kanye West’s face went viral, which served as the catalyst for what began as a 2014 Photoshop experiment and quickly snowballed. Since that time, Cole has worked with Brazil to lay the groundwork for IKONICK, where the company has established a reputation as a pop-canvas art brand with prints that any fan of the sneaker culture would appreciate.

IKONICK

IKONICK is a West Coast brand putting a new spin on the business of inspiring others through art. Embodying popular culture, their exclusive collections exist to motivate in a way that’s entirely their own. Whether you’re working out of a cubicle or hustling with an ocean view, they’ve created hundreds of pieces to motivate you through your mornings, days, and nights. Fed up with the dead-end jobs that were going nowhere, they felt their ambition draining away at their desks, so they decided to leave it all behind and set out to create something that would inspire themselves and others to chase those ambitions. Started as a passion project in 2016, IKONICK is now one of the leading digital art brands in the world, with their artwork displayed in hundreds of thousands of homes and office spaces. They partnered up with entrepreneurial icons Gary Vaynerchuk and earned licensing rights for the NBA, Muhammad Ali, Peanuts, and many others.
