The Crypto.org Chain Official NFT
To commemorate the launch of the Crypto.org Chain and the Crypto.com NFT Platform, we commissioned a special NFT by the calligrapher Wandering Stan. The NFT features the cryptographic hash for the Crypto.org Mainnet Genesis Block and an enduring quote in the Genesis Block by computing legend Hal Finney, which reads “The computer can be used as a tool to liberate and protect people, rather than to control them.”
This quote represents so much of our vision for the future, and our belief that it is a fundamental right for everyone to control their money, data and identity. Our mission at Crypto.com is to accelerate the world’s transition to cryptocurrency and the launch of the Crypto.org Chain is a massive milestone on our path.
Stan James’ calligraphy is inspired by his childhood growing up in Japan, where his early creative drive pushed him to explore the power of typefaces, curves, and shape more closely.
This initial spark turned James into a lettering artist fascinated by the power of symbols, for humans and for machines, and with their dual role as conveyors of both truth and beauty. James has been coding almost as long as he’s been making beautiful letters.
Our commemorative NFT was claimable by anyone who created an account on Crypto.com/NFT before 31 March 2021 at 23:59 UTC. The NFT will be distributed on 8 April 2021 to all eligible users.
Congratulations to everyone who received the Crypto.org Genesis NFT, you now own a unique piece of Crypto.org’s legacy!

- NFTs will be distributed to every user that signed up for Crypto.com/NFT between 24 March 2021 at 01:00 UTC and 31 March 2021 at 23:59:59 UTC
- NFTs will be distributed on or about 8 April 2021
- One NFT will be distributed per account
- The NFT will be visible on your Crypto.com/NFT profile page on “My NFTs” under the “Collectibles” tab
- You may sell or auction your NFT on the secondary market
- There is no purchase necessary to be eligible for the free NFT
