How is blockchain education reshaping the education system and changing the industries’ needs?
Some years ago, a very select few knew the term, blockchain. Many have heard of blockchain nowadays even though they might only know it as “what makes bitcoin work.” While cryptocurrencies are the first mainstream use of blockchain technology, they are far from the only usage. Since blockchains can be stable, shared ledgers in many fields, blockchains should therefore be considered the key area of research. Since blockchains can be used in a variety of areas as stable, decentralised ledgers, blockchain should therefore be regarded as the main topic.
Looking at how blockchains could affect education, we can see that both K-12 and higher education institutions will use these in the not-too-distant future for registration and qualifications. Let’s look at what the K-12, with blockchains applied, would look like. However, this is not what I’m talking about blockchain education.
When I look for blockchain education, my concern is to initiate study and research on blockchain technology. In the last 10 years, blockchain technology has shown promising growth in various field and we have no doubt about its capacity and capability. It is a fact that blockchain technology is flourishing along with the cryptocurrency industry. People are more focusing on creating a decentralized platform for execution of work. Implementation of blockchain technology is not only accelerating the work process but it also strengthens the system.
So why do we even need blockchain technology in our life?
We have all already witnessed ledgers. There are books in which documents are kept, such as accounts and grades of students. Most of these are now electronic and automated with advanced software. It’s a concern if a centralised ledger is either taken, destroyed or corrupted. It would be good security to keep correct copies of booklets in various places if every copy was a faithful, checked, exact version of the original. This is regarded as a distributed ledger.

Each of the various digital ‘nodes’ in a blockchain holds a complete copy of the ledger and continuously checks the accuracy of both new information and the copy it stores. In case of failure or degradation of any or all of these nodes, information of the header remains intact. In several fields, it is easy to see how this would be helpful. However, blockchains also provide other services, including smart contracts and an automated incentive scheme.
Why is blockchain education important?
Now you are aware of the possibility of blockchain technology and how it could change the world. The major issue is that not all of them get the chance to study this innovative technology. For generating more workforces for the future we need to focus on some major changes in the education system.
Artificial intelligence is one of kind education arena which has taken quite the attention of students. Students are hopeful of this technology and have a strong will to study and pursue a career in Artificial Intelligence. Now blockchain technology needs some care too. Here is the reason for encouraging blockchain education on a wide scale.
No one wants to be left out. This is the era of technology revolution if anyone wants to stuck in the previous build system then the devastation can be clearly seen. Now companies are focusing on developing new technology and system to cope up with the changes. To fulfil their needs blockchain is the ultimate solution. This technology provides a huge arena for the experiment. So, companies are looking for higher-skilled candidates with the knowledge of blockchain. Since it was not in our education system candidates are lacking the skill that companies are looking for it. So, to evolve and generate more skilled and suitable candidates we need to start blockchain education immediately.
So we have already understood how important blockchain education is. In the past 20 years, technology (educational technology) has made great strides, but the path to total modernisation is still long. Process speed is here for innovations like blockchain. Ledger software, along with AI, smartphones and tablets, is the ideal means of education to quickly replace bulky desktop computers and antiquated textbooks.
So where can you study blockchain?
Since the blockchain and cryptocurrency education is not the major subject to choose but past few years students are driven to select technically based majors. Artificial intelligence and blockchain are the most interesting subjects for the students. They not only find the subjects are alluring but these have the potential for career growth and skill development. And as I already discussed industries will require skilled candidates for their blockchain-driven projects. For the sake of the future, many popular universities are offering blockchain courses. Now you have known to this fact that blockchain is a good subject to study. So, universities have launched a different kind of programs in blockchain and cryptocurrency education, starting from certificates to masters. Now here some list of universities where you can study blockchain and cryptocurrency and prepare yourself for the future market:
· UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA AT BERKELEY
· UNIVERSIDAD EUROPEA MADRID
· GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY
· UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA-CHAMPAIGN
· DUKE UNIVERSITY
· STANFORD UNIVERSITY
· PRINCETON UNIVERSITY
· RMIT UNIVERSITY
· B9 LAB ACADEMY — UK
· NEW YORK UNIVERSITY
· MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (MIT)
· NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE (NUS) and many more.
Now in this case of COVID-19 situation where the education system has almost stopped online platforms started offering blockchain and cryptocurrency education as well. Many platforms like Udemy, Coursera, Edureka, etc are now developing new blockchain courses to deliver required knowledge which students are seeking.
Now here is some fresh news which is very soothing for eyes to read that The CoinDCX reported on September 2 that it would incorporate into a Blockchain Board online training and certification course led by an organisation named Blockchain Council. Though Indian crypto-firms are worried about potential anti-crypto legislation in the near future, educational initiatives and training of crypto interested people are being introduced.
Other news is that the coinmarketcap is also entering in the educational platform by launching the cryptocurrency and blockchain education system. CMC first established its name as a cryptocurrencies price tracking website back in 2013 and has continued to focus on establishing trustworthy data sources for investors in the industry.
The CoinMarketCap (CMC) longtime crypto market aggregator of data is moving to new territory — cryptocurrency learning. The site now looks beyond market data and is aimed at providing more holistic education that can aid newcomers in cryptography.
