What you probably have never known about HAZEL

Did you know that in ancient Roman times, it was a custom to donate hazel plants to bring happiness? Or that Greek physicians would recommend crushed hazelnuts to cure coughs and the common cold?*

Well, neither did we… but what we know and are here to share are some insights about the Hazel Project. Unlike the tree, the Hazel Project’s designation is not to produce hazelnuts, but to create a community that is based on the following core values: education, equality, and environment-consciousness.

Everything started about two years ago with just a few people and a lot of ideas. Meanwhile, we actively discussed with people from different backgrounds, informed ourselves, paid attention to the feedback we received (even on Medium), and ideas started to take shape. You can find all of them explained on the Hazel Project’s website. We will let you enjoy it at your own pace, so now just allow us to officially announce that Hazel Token will be released on 22nd of January 2022!

As for the great community we were dreaming about, it is getting bigger and bigger by day due to you, therefore we want to thank you for helping Hazel grow!
