CryptoFighters: To The Arena!
CryptoFighters is a competitive game centered around unique collectible Fighters designed on the Ethereum blockchain. All Fighters are uniquely built with different attributes, weapons, and appearances, and they are meant to be collected, trained, leveled up and battled in order to win new Fighters!
A benefit of designing a game on the Ethereum Blockchain is that it is a completely decentralized system. Even our Battle System is decentralized. This means that no one, not even the genius and very attractive creators of CryptoFighters control the game. Therefore your progress and even your Fighters themselves cannot be hacked or stolen from you.
Pretty neat right? Well you don’t even know the half of it.
From this article you will be able to understand the ins and outs of CryptoFighting, and perhaps one day, you may even end up being the very best, a CryptoFighting legend.
.
What does one require to play?
As with all fun things, CryptoFighters unfortunately requires a boring setup:
· Use Chrome or Firefox as your browser.
· Install the MetaMask extension, a digital wallet used specifically with web apps. Need help installing MetaMask? Watch this tutorial — https://youtu.be/24EjCaK9qR8
· Get some Ether. That’s the currency you’ll use to buy, sell, and battle CryptoFighters..
Now let’s get to the fun stuff!
Aims of the Game
There are three simple aims to this game and they are all interlinked:
- · Collect as many Fighters as you can, some are more rare than others! Acquire them in our marketplace or recruit news ones by winning battles.
- · Train your Fighters through battle and better their abilities.
- Battle and become a legend by defeating other CryptoFighters.
How to collect Fighters
Just like a real life market where you use money to buy items, when shopping for Crypto Fighters you can use ether (a cryptocurrency on the ethereum blockchain) to purchase Fighters from our marketplace.
However, the much more fun way of collecting Fighters is to defeat your opponents in battle; recruiting new ones that you can train and improve.
The Arena
Who and how many Fighters should you use?
First, you must choose wisely and carefully up to 5 Fighters with one of them being the leader. After marching your Fighters to battle… it’s down to them. We know it sounds brutal, but at least there’s no blood.
The outcome of the match will be determined by an algorithm affected by the following parameters:
· Group size
· Fighters’ ranks (Generation)
· Fighters’ attributes
· Fighters’ genes (not ALL genes will affect the battle results)
· Fighters’ levels
· Attacker/Defender bonus
· Other bonuses and a random factor
The outcome of the battle will then show if your group was victorious or defeated and the amount of experience points and rewards that were earned.
Fighter Races
There are currently 4 types of Race each with a different basic attributes (health/dexterity/power/ luck) and fear not, other great CryptoFighter Races are on the way! Each Fighter starts with a random set of stats according to their Race and Rank.
Orc
The Orc is the ugliest and most vile mannered Race in the CryptoFighters’ universe. Although he is a bit of an oaf when it comes to dexterity, he makes up for this by having a high strength level.
Fun fact: The Orc infamously craves the taste of blood and snacks on deserted carcasses. Just kidding, they are vegan.
Half-Elf
The Half-Elf are a small statured Race which have an all round and balanced ability score. They have an extended lifespan each one living for 100s of years if unharmed. They are typically armed with a magical staff.
Fun Fact: A Half-Elf is the offspring of an elf and a human, never truly accepted by any.
Succubus
According to ancient folklore the Succubus is a demon in female form, that appears in dreams to torment her enemies. Using her wings and weapons, Succubus is also able to fly and attack from above. This makes Succubus very agile and dexterous.
Fun Fact: Succubus tend to sleep all day and party at night.
Mage
The Mage has magical powers and weapons. Mages have magical powers that most opponents tremble in sight of. On the other hand, their vitality is low, they are glass cannon.
Fun Fact: People like to call them witches. For your safety, we advise not to.
Attributes
There are few aspects that define a Fighters power:
Rank
This is what makes a Fighter more valuable and better on the battlefield. The Rank of a Fighter is essentially it’s generation, General (Generation 0) being the rarest and most powerful.
Experience
Fighters can rack up experience points through battles. This experience helps your Fighters in future battles as they level up. Each fight will give the winner and loser a small amount of experience depending on the result.
Cooldown
Users can fight as much as they want, however, selecting a group leader that currently is on cooldown, will not win the group a new fighter (He is tired of fighting, he can’t recruit!).
Attributes
· Strength
· Dexterity
· Vitality
· Luck
Investment and the Marketplace
The world of CryptoGaming is split into three; those who want to just play, those who want to make money, and the group that lies between the two.
So for those asking if you can make money. Yes, this is possible. CryptoFighters are ultimately collectible Fighters on the blockchain. If you buy a Fighter for cheap and sell him for more you’ll make money. Once battles are released you’ll also be able to win newly generated Fighters on auction which can then be sold on.
Caution: Conversely, it’s also possible to lose money. There is no guarantee someone will purchase a Fighter you purchased.
We cannot advise on it as an investment and if you choose to view it as one you do so at your own risk.
Why CryptoFighters?
The main point of CryptoFighters is to provide a community where users all over the world can harmoniously play and battle one another, whilst subsequently taking advantage of all the crazy new benefits of Blockchain technology.
This is a game full of competition, charm and wacky characters, and a Market full of new opportunities where people can play and invest.
We are delighted to release the Arena, and are excited to see your Fighters and your knowledge of the game develop. Our aim is to build a game for the ages, that keeps improving, surprising and pleasing our community. This is a big step, but the first of many!
