Cryptograph Platform Update

Dear Cryptograph Community,

As you all know gas prices on the Ethereum network have skyrocketed recently and so the cost to place a bid on our platform has risen to prohibitive levels. In order to manage this situation we will be making some changes as to how Cryptographs are released on the platform.

New Cryptographs will no longer be coming to auction on our regular weekly schedule. Instead new Cryptographs will become available for auction based purely upon the Ethereum gas price. So each time the price for a standard speed transaction on the Ethereum network drops below 80 Gwei we will immediately put new Cryptographs up for auction. Until this occurs though, no new Cryptographs will be coming to market.

As and when the gas price next drops below 80 Gwei we will immediately post an announcement on our Twitter and in our Discord with the details of the imminent Cryptograph release. The Cryptograph(s) will then be immediately put up for auction on the site ready for bidders to jump in, whilst the gas prices are still at a viable level. Auctions will still run for a period of 3 days.

As you are all aware the next two Cryptographs that were due to be released on the platform were Alec Monopoly’s and Alotta Money’s and thus when the gas price next drops below 80 Gwei these will be the next two Cryptographs to be put on auction.

We are not expecting gas prices to drop anytime soon and we believe that Ethereum gas prices will continue to rise over the medium to long term. So we have decided to move into our next phase of development now.

The new Cryptograph platform will include a fully interoperable layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum and it will also enable people to bid in different crypto and fiat currencies in a fully decentralised and on chain fashion. This will not only make gas prices negligible but it will also help to further mainstream adoption. However it is going to take at least 6 months plus to develop all of this new infrastructure, so in the interim please keep your eyes peeled on our Twitter and Discord and be ready for when the gas price drops!
