Cryptoindex is a tool for exposure to the cryptomarket and serves as a smart benchmark for all cryptocurrencies. We would like to introduce our Head of Marketing — Caroline Matusso!

She’s a specialist in B2B and B2C marketing with project management experience with Fortune 500 companies.

Here is a quick interview with Caroline. We have prepared several questions to help you get to know her better.

- Hello Caroline! We are pleased to have you join us in our weekly interview session! Could you tell our community about your experience in marketing and the reason why you chose this profession?

- Hello! Its very kind of you to invite me, a pleasure to do this interview.. My education is in Chemistry; people are usually shocked when I say this, as Chemistry is a tough and rather specific field of science. Then I took courses in Management & Business, alongside chemistry. I then became fascinated with marketing. I have chosen the marketing sphere as for me it is one the most exciting things a person can do in the professional sphere. The mix of analytical skills and creativity needed for this job are the most attractive aspect for me. During the first four years after graduation, I worked mostly in FMCG sphere. Working for LÓreal company was an exciting trip where I had rotation within 3 out 5 product departments. I feel so grateful for this experience as it gave me so much knowledge, skills and a deep understanding of consumers’ behavior.

- That’s really interesting! How did you come into the world of crypto? Was it a difficult industry to venture into given your background?

I became interested in cryptocurrencies almost two years ago. At first, I started to ask my friends, mostly from finance and economics backgrounds, for their opinions about crypto. I heard very different statements, starting with “It is a speculative bubble. I initially made a decision not to work with it”, and ending with “Crypto is the beginning of a new decentralized world.” The fact that people whom I respect a lot as professionals gave me such different feedback, made me delve further into the question, so I started to read all the news, reviews and information I could find on the web. At the same time, my professional interest was to understand how I can apply my knowledge and experience of marketing in FMCG to the new sphere.

- How do you think Cryptocurrencies will impact our traditional markets and everyday lives??

- Today the rise of cryptocurrencies is bringing significant changes to the finance industry and everyday life. One of the major and fundamental properties of cryptocurrencies is the ability to get rid of third parties from the chain of participants. The intermediary services market is estimated now more than one trillion dollars. Imagine that these funds can be redistributed between space, ecology and alternative energy sources.

- Very impressive. Can you explain to our community what you do at Cryptoindex?

- At Cryptoindex I am responsible for marketing strategy development and implementation, including digital marketing, advertising, events, and PR. It means managing all types of communications and marketing channels. As Cryptoindex is a high technology project with extremely complicated technology behind it. So my primary goal is to explain all these crazy things that our mathematician team is creating to our community and our potential users.

- How do you feel the ICO market has changed since you started working in this area?

- I can definitely say that there is no more hype around ICOs as there was in 2017. People became much more selective and balanced in their decisions. At the same time, people who are interested in crypto are still reading the news, searching for information, visiting issue-specific sites. In the process of building right communication my team and I had to find the right marketing channels and a key to our target audience.

- What has been the most challenging aspect of this project?

- For me personally, our Whitepaper was the most challenging project. I was responsible for the project coordination from the beginning and writing the marketing pieces of the document. As I described previously, the mathematical part of the project is very tough. That’s why it was not easy to describe everything in detail, but in the way, a person could understand the idea behind the project. I suppose, that our Whitepaper is one of the longest in the industry, it includes 139 pages. My personal thank you to everyone who has read it till the end=)

- What is the best marketing advice you’ve ever received?

- One of my first managers explained to me the concept of “marketing excellence”, which means that every step and detail of the project should be completed on time, without mistakes, visually impeccable. And this concept is something I try to implement in everything I do. This level of perfection is not easy to achieve, especially when it comes to timing,

- Question from the user — Mic. In your opinion, what direction do you feel the crypto industry will move in the next few years? How do you feel Cryptoindex can contribute to such a volatile market?

- In the next few years, we’re expecting more institutional investors to come into the crypto market. As well as a rise of decentralized exchanges and security tokens. Also, the number of cryptocurrencies will continue to grow. In this situation, a tool that is combining the best characteristics of multiple coins, like Cryptoindex, could reduce the volatility and risks found in most single cryptocurrencies.

- What advantages does CryptoIndex have over other projects?

- If we compare Cryptoindex with other cryptocurrency indices, we’ll find a number of differences. Firstly, it is the number of coins — сreating an index of 100 coins allows us to have both diversified the risk and added an opportunity for greater profits. With so many varied cryptocurrencies available it is important to include as many as possible that could suddenly become successful and profitable. Another major difference is the use of an AI-based algorithm. Cryptoindex is the first and only cryptocurrency index based on Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks. Neural Networks have been trained on the entire crypto trade history from 11 exchanges during the last 5 years. This technology is making Cryptoindex one of the most high-technology products in the whole cryptocurrency market.

- What do you think Cryptoindex’s future will be?

- I believe that Cryptoindex has an amazing future ahead. What else did you expect to hear for me? I am Cryptoindex #1 fan. Answering seriously, I see that Cryptoindex can occupy the niche in the narrow market, as there is no direct leader yet. Cryptoindex has everything to become an industry benchmark and at the same time a tool, combining the best characteristics of multiple coins.
