A new category is here: Purrstige traits!

Doc Purr reveals the second to last trait category, with whole new rules, limited editions, and trait recipes

When the game began, only eight of our twelve trait categories were expressed as Cattributes. In December, the first Wild Element was discovered. In April, some Kitties began appearing in Environments.

Now, we’ve brought you the second to last gene category: Purrstige traits.

How do you get Purrstige traits?

Combine the totesbasic Cattribute with norwegianforest. If your Kitty has one of the two secret Purrstige genes, you’ll unlock one of the two new Pursstige traits: furball or prune. But this recipe is time-limited, so you’ll have to act fast.

• The traits are timed, with the first window open during the month of September.
• Recipes to unlock the traits include the highest three tiers of Purrstige genes. Learn more about trait tiers.
• You need all of the genes in the recipe (totesbasic, norwegianforest, AND the hidden Purrstige gene) for the trait to express itself.
• Some Purrstige traits will return in the future.

There will be new Purrstige traits in October, and the recipe will include the same high tier Purrstige genes as the September launch. So make sure to get your paws on these before the month is out and it’s too late!

The time has come! My genius knows no bounds, and for months I have been aware of the final two trait categories. Until now I have kept that secret between myself, my assistant Stitches, and the intelligent mould I’ve been developing in an old yogurt container. But my research indicates that one of the two trait categories will soon become live, and I’ll no longer be able to use the exclusive research to my advantage.

The new trait category is: PURRSTIGE TRAITS!

The traits will be timed, just like milk’s lifespan on a countertop in summer — if milk lasted a month, anyway. The first window will run until the end of September, and will include two Purrstige traits.

Recipes to unlock the traits will use only the highest three tiers of Purrstige genes, and you’ll need all of the genes in a special recipe for the trait to express itself.

If you succeed? You’ll unlock a special visual treat… I’ll leave that one for you to discover on your own. Better start checking those “unknown” genes on your Kitties now.

Worried you’ll miss out? You should be! All good things in life eventually crumble away into dust and unshed tears… But in this case, some Purrstige traits may return in the future for a second or third limited run.
