The cutest Kitty Varieties come from the community

We all know about recipes that lead to Fancy Cats, but did you know there are recipes that lead to Kitty Varities, too?

A Varietal is a set of cats that meet certain requirements. They’re made all of different shades of blue, for instance, or they all look exactly like racoons. Those are fictional examples, but the community has been hard at work creating some actual Varities, and we think they’re the cat’s meow! And its tail, and its eye colour, and its pattern.

Cream city brick cats

These light yellow Kitties are named after the distinctive bricks made from clay in Milwaukee — who knew! A bunch of our users, apparently, including Cream City Brick (CW🐳), own a wallet that holds nothing but these adorable cream city brick cats.

Vintage felines

Everyone loves a good black and white movie, and these greyscale Kitties bring the era of the silver screen back to the forefront! The only rule is that they have to be entirely monochromatic: otherwise, anything goes! You can see a selection of these felines courtesy of Jody’s Vintage Kitties!

Green Bay Packers puss — uh, never mind

You don’t have to be a fan of meat-packing to don the gold and green and cheer on this football team. Most of the year, the town of Green Bay is a tiny Wisconsin city of about 100,000 people. But during football season? It’s the place to be, since this team has won 13 titles (9 NFL championships and 4 Super Bowls), more than any other team.
