The FTX exchanges, both US and Intl, were hacked. There is an unconfirmed speculation of a malicious update to the FTX app.

This is just a note to not access FTX sites or apps. If you left your trading logs on there, it’s too late now. Do not try to get them now.

The total damage of the hack is at least 380 million USD which further adds to the haircut on any customer funds after the bankruptcy process.

So, at this point just write off any money you had on there.

A private jet flew from Bahamas to Argentina early in the day today, but it is not known if it was SBF or another Bahamas entrepreneur who often flies between Nassau and Buenos Aires.

There’s a lot of speculation that the FTX hack was an inside job but nothing can be proven.

What is now proven is that SBF himself created a backdoor in the accounting books of FTX which allowed him to move money without triggering any internal or external alerts.

If you were still hoping, I’m sorry.

Last thing to do is to consider that your name, address and FTX balances will be published online when the bankruptcy litigation starts.

If you used the address where you in fact live, you might get 5-dollar-wrenched. If you can’t move, at least split your wallet seed phrases and store each part in a different safety deposit box or with a different lawyer.

If you use Trezor, set up a hidden wallet and show any attacker zero or small balance to get out of a bad situation.

If you are physically safe, just make sure you don’t use your name, DOB and address as one of your auth methods, people will try to get into your online accounts. Use strong passwords. Use one-time password 2FA.
