This week we got two new events in our CryptoCal that might be interesting for you. So meet Crypto Economics Security Conference (CESC) in San Francisco and the Dubai Blockchain Expo (DBE)! CESC focuses on crypto-economics security and DBE focusses on the Dubai Blockchain strategy. If you haven’t heard of these events, no worries, we’re here to inform you!

CryptoCal #1: Crypto Economics Security Conference (CESC) — San Francisco

CESC — San Francisco

Public, permission-free blockchains are dependent for their security and reliability on their economic incentives and mechanism design. Some private, permission-full ones may be as well. So the Crypto Economics Security Conference will explore the economic security aspects of blockchains protocols, including game theory. They’ll discuss incentive design, mechanism design and market design along with other topics related to crypto-economics’ security. They discuss these subjects so collaborations among researchers and practitioners get stimulated. Together there will be about 40 speakers like Vitalik Buterin and Christian Catchin. CESC is a two day event starting on October 10th, ending on October 11th. Both days begin at 10:00 until 18:00. If you would like to know more about this event you can find their website in this link.

CryptoCal #2 Dubai Blockchain Expo (DBE) — Dubai

As the first-ever event of its kind, this event is one of the largest blockchain gatherings in Middle East history. The event gaths Blockchain start-ups, investors, experts and enthusiasts. DBE is an opportunity to showcase investment opportunities and therefore discuss the future financial Blockchain technologies and inventions. The event is hosting about 35 speakers with over 40 different sponsors all focussing on Dubai’s Blockchain strategy because Dubai’s Blockchain strategy has a goal of being the first city fully powered by blockchain by 2020. The strategy comes as a result of a collaboration between the Smart Dubai Office and the Dubai Future Foundation to continually explore and evaluate the latest technology innovations that offer seamless, safe, efficient, and impactful city experiences. The event starts on October 17th. Do you wonder how late the event will start? You can find more information on their website.
