Hey, STAT racers!

Yesterday we released a new update for our STAT game, including changes in how the leaderboards work and how tournament rewards are distributed.

With this new patch, we are implementing individual leaderboards for each playable map in our STAT game. This update aims to ensure more fair competition and enable players with low-tier cars to reach the top ranks.

The new mechanics will impact the 2-week STAT tournament that started yesterday. So, be sure to test the game and share your feedback with us on the new system.

New individual leaderboards per track

From today on, each map will have its own leaderboard and its own CMR points. So, races played in a particular track will only grant points for that track’s leaderboard.

Players need to run a minimum of five races to get ranked on a leaderboard. Since each track is now independent of the rest, users will have to run five races on every track they want to rank on.

CMR points and penalization will still function as before. If you want more information about how these parameters work, we recommend checking out this article:

On the new reward system

Until this update, at the end of each tournament, the top 20 players on the general leaderboard received a share of the 100 WHALE prize pool (sponsored by Whale Community. Huge thanks to them! 🙌)

Now, each map will work as an independent tournament featuring its own rewards.

We decided to split the original 100 WHALE prize pool into three smaller pools of 33.33 WHALE, one for each map.

The number of winners has also changed.

Rewards will now be distributed among the top 10 players of each track, increasing the number of potential winners up to 30 users.

It’s worth mentioning that players will be able to rank for every leaderboard independently. That means they will get rewarded for entering the winning positions on each track.

Our goal is that this change allows players with low-tier cars to reach the highest positions on the leaderboard by playing the best-suited maps for their vehicles.

Prizes distribution

Following the new reward system, players ranked in the top 10 positions will receive the following prizes based on the number of races played on each track:

  • 150 to 199 races: 1 WHALE
  • 200 to 299 races: 1.5 WHALE
  • 300 to 499 races: 2 WHALE
  • More than 500 races: 2.5 WHALE

On top of that, players that reach the podium on any of the maps will receive a bonus prize:

  • 1st place 🥇 = 50% of the remaining $WHALE tokens in the prize pool
  • 2nd place 🥈 = 30% of the remaining $WHALE tokens in the prize pool
  • 3rd place 🥉 = 20% of the remaining $WHALE tokens in the prize pool

Remember that players who end up in the top 3 ranks must have played a minimum of 70 races to be eligible for the bonus rewards. If a player with less than 70 races reaches the podium, it will be replaced with the following bonus-eligible player on the leaderboards.

So, be sure to race as much as you can to secure all the prizes.
