We concluded the visualization stage for the Virtual Racer 3D model. Check out the final look of the car!

For the past weeks, we’ve been working on the rendering and visualization of the GEN1 Virtual Racer. We tested different textures, lighting, colors, and materials on the 3D model and we took some artistic shots of the vehicle. We wanted to share the results of that amazing journey with you.

We will put the new car on sale in our marketplace very soon. There would be only a limited amount of units available, so be sure to grab yours!

The GEN1 Virtual Racer was originally designed by @joonyoung_koo⁣⁣, the winner of our first decentralized Car Design Challenge. With more than 1600 votes, the design was chosen by the community to be 3D modeled and visualized by the CryptoMotors team.

Visualization: Why we do this?

Visualization is a very important part of any automotive design and development process. It allows designers and engineers to minimize reliance on physical prototypes, and see and evaluate the car long before production begins.

It’s simple: The more issues you resolve up front, the more efficient and cost-effective the model will be to produce.

With visualization, design teams can prototype a great number of virtual samples and evaluate the potential impact of environmental factors on the surface or appearance of the vehicle.

During the visualization of the GEN1 Virtual Racer, we tested different textures, lighting, colors, and materials to give the vehicle a more photo-realistic view, and to evaluate how the car materials would look and behave in a real-life environment.

To make all these things possible, we used 3ds Max by Autodesk along with the Corona Renderer plugin.
