Meet the 10 Startups Selected by AWS for 2018’s re:Invent Startup Central
AWS re:Invent is Amazon’s annual conference for companies and leaders in every industry to gather, network, and learn from each other about cloud transformation. This year’s event takes place in Las Vegas across 5 venues, ARIA, Bellagio, MGM, Mirage, and The Venetian, from November 26th to the 30th.
Ten promising early-stage startups have been selected by Amazon Web Services and will have booths set up at “Startup Central” located in area #316 at the ARIA for all 4 days of the conference.
This guide will serve as a high-level overview of the technology these startups are building, and the problems they hold to address.
AISERA

Company Overview: AISERA is an AIOps startups utilizing machine learning algorithms to help enterprises reduce IT service management costs. Their platform includes a conversational AI service desk that will reduce tickets by 80%, man hours by 100x, and mean time to repair by 70%.
Arkose Labs

Company Overview: Arkose Labs is a fraud and abuse prevention software company that prevent against fraudulent activities such as account takeovers, fake users, ticket scalping and more. Instead of focusing just on mitigation through methods like threat scoring and behavioral analysis, Akrose utilizes a bilateral approach scores users utilizing over 60 data classifications and a patent-pending enforcement challenge that guarantees fraud prevention with no false positives and zero friction.

Company Overview: CryptoMove is an enterprise security startup commercializing moving target defense technology. Pioneered in the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense, moving target defense (MTD) is a security paradigm shift. MTD flips the attack/defense asymmetry and turns attackers’ #1 advantage — time — into a disadvantage. Its positive effects can be quantified with game theory & risk-based threat modelling. CryptoMove’s globally patented technology protects any kind of data or keys with dynamic and continuous movement, fragmentation, mutation, distribution, and re-encryption. CryptoMove’s first product, Tholos, is a key vault and secrets management product for cloud-native devops security. The flexibility and scalability of cloud-based infrastructure is a major driver in transforming moving target defense from a theoretical approach to a practical solution.

Company Overview: R3 is a financial innovation firm dedicated to the design and deployment of Distributed Ledger Technology for the financial services industry. It’s product, the Corda platform, removes costly friction in business transactions by enabling businesses to transact directly. R3 is the most significantly funded startup of the 10 by far, with over $100m raised.

Company Overview: Suplari is an AI-driven insights and analytics platform for enterprise procurement spend. WireWheel
