Instructions for how to go through KYC verification on the Cryptonomos platform

Hello! In this instruction we will show you how to go through KYC verification procedure. KYC (know your customer) is the process of identifying personal data, when the client (a private individual) is required to provide some personal data that will confirm their identity. Increasingly, companies that launch ICOs ask their clients who participate in the token sale to go through id verification, and today we will show you how to do it on the Cryptonomos platform.

As an example, we’ll show you how to go through KYC procedure if you want to participate in the ICO of Rentberry decentralized rental platform. This ICO requires going through KYC procedure.

First you should login at cryptonomos.com:

After login you get to the page Feed with widgets of all tokens that are being sold or were sold earlier on the Cryptonomos platform:

Please note that you have already bought BERRY tokens and a message appeared at the top of the page that says you need to go through KYC procedure:

If you bought tokens of a company that does not require going through KYC procedure, this message will not appear. If you passed KYC procedure on the Cryptonomos platform earlier, you will not have to do it again.

Click Get Verification:

You will see a form you need to fill in for verification:

Fill in all the fields carefully:

When you finish, click Start Verification at the end of the form:

Then you will be redirected to the website of verification service, in our example it is www.onfido.com:

And you will get a notification email:

After several clarifying questions click Save and Continue:

The last step is to download a scan of ID document, such as passport or driving license (in Latin characters):

After you download the document, please, click Submit Verification:

Then onfido verification service will redirect you back to Cryptonomos. Now you should wait for a message that will come to the email address to which your account is tied. The waiting time may vary greatly, since there could be a queue. It may be several hours or several days — depending on the system workload.

If you pass KYC verification successfully, you will receive the following email message:

If you fail KYC verification, you will receive a different email message:

Purchase cancelation means that the system will return you your money in the same cryptocurrency that you used to pay for the tokens:

You will be able to see the details of the refund if you enter your ETHEREUM account:

That’s all! As you can see, passing the verification of KYC is not very difficult.
If you are unwilling to pass KYC verification, and the conditions of a specific ICO require verification, then the tokens you bought will not be released at the end of the ICO, and the money you have spent will be returned to you.
