CryptoPolice calls attention to fake Telegram ICO projects and calls users to refrain from investments into projects with names similar to Telegram, projects such as GRAM and TON, before announcements in the official Telegram sources.

The number of those who wants to illegally earn on popularity of TON tokens or Gram cryptocurrency (which are not issued or officially announced yet) is growing everyday. This is, allegedly, cryptocurrency which is being developed under umbrella of Telegram by its own team, that is managed by Pavel Durov. Nowadays any offer of purchasing of cryptocurrency TON is a fraud scheme and an attempt of monetization on never seen demand on tokens.

Unofficial sources shouldn’t be trusted: Telegram tokens can’t be sold anywhere, neither on some cryptocurrency exchanges nor somewhere else. You will be provided with references, funds allegedly collected during Pre-ICO, detailed white papers ( document which fully describes technology for investors), but without official statements and sources all of this is no more than just well-prepared scam. The single source of official statements is the telegram website telegram.org and notifications of it’s administration.

Scammers actively use the hype around Telegram ICO and offer participation in fake pre-ICO with a tangible discount for the first investors. Official information on this issue has not yet been published, but according to media reports, only a few dozen large investors have taken part in pre-ICO, investing $ 850 million.

If relying on project’s white paper, during the whole 2018 year there will be break-in period of the cryptocurrency: testing of a principal system and only in the 4 quarter users will be able to create Telegram wallets. All that is left to do is to wait the official announcement of the open sale and don’t fall for a scam.
