Art is evolving — and we were born to witness it. Art on the computer has been around since… computers. Generative Art is a popular subset where calculations are used to draw shapes, write words, make sounds and more. These often change over time (generations) and can be made unique using a random number generator.
FXHash is a marketplace to create and collect generative art NFTs on the Tezos blockchain.
CONTEXT
The “Art is Evolving…” quote is the FXHash tagline and we are definitely seeing evolution. Initially, we were minting NFTs on hic et nunc. That site closed, in-part because it was being copied by a bunch creators of other markets. So we just started using the other markets — welcome Web 3.0 where the data is on the blockchain.
With the hic et nunc model, we minted an NFT that had editions. Those editions were the same. The art itself could be generative and produce any number of results but everyone’s edition did the same thing.
