BLOCKCON 2018 Kicked Off a Month of LA Blockchain Events with a Bang!

#BLOCKCON is an annual, two-day blockchain conference helping the blockchain community to connect, learn, grow, and, ultimately, succeed. #BLOCKCON 2018 was bustling with people, activity, and meaningful conversations.
Conferences are perfect for sharing and absorbing knowledge, asking questions, networking and deepening an understanding of the industry.
BLOCKCON 2018 provided guests with the opportunity to hear from experts and thought leaders in the space. Here are some of the speakers who made a splash this BLOCKCON 2018:
Ralph Merkle, the inventor of public key cryptography and Merkle Trees, discussed the idea of extending the human lifespan.
Professor Muhammad Yunus, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for founding the Grameen Bank and pioneering the concepts of microcredit and microfinance, encouraged the audience to use tech meaningfully and selflessly for the greater good.
David Bleznak, CEO of Totle, an easy to use decentralized crypto asset management solution, spoke about what it means to be a decentralized system and the importance of reaching people outside of the crypto space.
Nathan Chandra, Co-Founder of Buttrfly, a blockchain-powered marketplace aimed to match influencers in the crypto sphere with brands ranging from fashion to beauty and more. The Buttrfly Network is the first marketplace designed for the purchasing of social influence at scale. Built on blockchain technology and AI backed infrastructure, the network model provides an automated, Artificial Intelligent, transparent user experience that aligns brands with influencers.
Richard McBeath, from MasterWorks, discussed how you can invest in some of the world’s most valuable pieces of art through blockchain technology. By incorporating blockchain technology into the fine art investment process, the doors have been opened up to include a broader range of people.
This year’s conference marks another great milestone for the future of this industry. Conference-goers were able to learn from experts in the space, network with peers, discover new projects, mingle with potential investors, and last but certainly not least — enjoy delicious Indian cuisine!
