CS373 Fall 2018: Tijani Oluwatimilehin
- What did you do this past week?
This past week was really a blur. I spent the majority of the week attending to official matters that were time sensitive so that I could start the coming week on a more relaxed note. This week was also the beginning of the fall semester and I already have assignments from several classes I am enrolled in for this semester. I also spent quite some time trying to figure out the ideal way to ensure that I satisfy as many core requirements as possible this semester.
2. What’s in your way?
I still have a couple of non-academic things to cross off my to-do list and I really hope I can achieve this before the end of the coming week. Also, I have to determine if I really need to break the bank on textbooks this semester as soon as possible so I do not lag behind on the assigned readings.
3. What will you do next week?
Like I mentioned earlier, I will be doing a lot of running around this coming week to ensure I attend to all the outstanding tasks I have. I also intend to start the reading in about three of my classes at the earliest convenience so that I can develop the routine to stay on top of this semester’s coursework.
4. What are your expectations of the class?
I am honestly expecting a very challenging couple of months in this class. The disconnect between the class work and the projects will strain my focus in this class so I plan to dedicate as much time as is required to manage both as best as I can. I believe that at the end of this semester, I will become a better software developer with substantial knowledge on how to design a project without any concrete description.
5. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
My pick-of-the-week is React. It is a great way to manage a web application because it allows you to design the user interface in such a way that it fits seamlessly with the backend of the application as well regardless of the framework used for the backend.
