- What did you do this past week?
- This past week, I did algorithms, which was really hard honestly. We had to do this absurd proof that to do in the way our professor wanted, required a ton of case by case proofs. I also learned a bit more about full stack programming, as that was what our SWE project was about. It was honestly very tricky to pick up, but mildly fun learning something new, though the search page was kind of stretching my patience. Additionally, I’m getting decent with the front-end, which is kinda neat.
- What’s in your way?
- It’s taking a ton of time to figure out how to set up and kind of sort of learning to use React, Flask, and most recently, AWS, but we’re making progress, and I have faith in my fantastic team mates. I think my toe which was previously sprained is getting better as well, which is nice.
- What will you do next week?
- This coming week, I plan on doing a lot of interviewing. I also want to relax a bit more as a lot has been going on, and I said this last week and it didn’t happen. I also have a lot of exams this week, which isn’t great either, but hopefully I can power through them at least okay.
- What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)
- My experience of SQL was limited because I wasn’t there for most the the in class assignments, which were the most important part of it. Unfortunately because of this, don’t really understand join or cross-join or anything similar to well because I didn’t listen to the lecture, so I might need to make those up at a later point in time.
- What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
- My pick of the week is to wash your hands a lot. Flu season is about, and the GDC keyboards are abominable, so I would highly suggest you wash your hands every time you touch someone else or a non personal belonging.
