Halifax — CSCCAN1 — Can´t wait to join this adventure
And finally the in-country experience is right around the corner… Halifax here we go!
Everything started on June 25th with a note from Jamie McDonald informing that I was selected to CSC Program and if I accepted to be part of Canada 1 Team. IF I ACCEPTED? Of course I did… this was one of my goals at IBM: be part of CSC Family.
And then came the weekly calls, the homework, the team interaction and each week it was more and more learning, knowledge about the city we would live in for 1 month. I must say that all the CSC structure amazed me, all the courses roadmap, the calls organization by Andrew, the full participation of Rick and Mark as well as DOT Team — Liesl, Alessandra and Andres.
And then we started to know each other a little bit better during the Weekly Connect with your Team Mates Call. On this activity the names — Aishwarya, Alexandra, Ana Maria, Anisha, Danish, Fatima Sarah (Timmy), Ganesh, Ilan, Kate, Katrina (Kat), Manvi, Martin, Saptarshi (Rishi), Umasree (Uma) and Valeria (Val) — started to become faces and real people, with likes and dislikes, hobbies, job roles, passions and goals.
And the time flew by… and in 3 days from today we´ll know each other personally and work as a Big Team. Besides being split into 4 sub teams I hope we can work as One Big Team sharing the challenges and blockers, relying on the help and each others skills.
And I´m sure this adventure will change our lives FOREVER and I can´t wait to tell you more about it.
