Pausing CSS Dev Conf

First things first, we are not having CSS Dev Conf 2019. I had hoped — too high — but the timing was not right to come back with the conference this year.

My health condition is better than in the past several years. I’ve been able to take on more work challenges: including specializing in digital accessibility at Knowbility and joining as a member of the CSS Working Group.

My health is not where I’d hope to be. I still have more steps to take before I am where I should be: nothing serious, but a concern. And before taking on a big production of CSS Dev Conf — I want to make sure that the health issues don’t hinder the production or sideline my health.

In the meantime, we’ve teamed up with Jennifer Robbins to bring back our favorite ARTIFACT Conference. Working with ARTIFACT co-founder Jennifer again has allowed us to spread the workload. And having the event in our backyard of Austin makes it easier on us to produce the event. It’s a great lineup in a great city — I hope you check it out.

As for the future, I don’t want to promise any future date for an event like I did last time. The current path is to see how things are at the end of the year with my doctors. If health and timing are right, we will see. Fingers crossed and thank you for your patience.
