Beliefs

We believe that Center Life Teams contribute to the CTE community as we:

  • build a strong understanding of the diverse work and culture of the CTE community
  • work within a teaming structure that enhances individual and group productivity
  • promote colloquial communication that fosters positive relationships across teams and projects
  • ensure a safe and supportive collaborative environment to cultivate innovative thought leaders
  • welcome individual approaches to collaborative efforts and understand individual needs

Vision

Our vision is to actualize our shared beliefs toward making meaningful contributions that improve the CTE Center Life.

Mission

Our mission is to utilize high performing teaming processes to actively identify needs within the CTE Center Life, and develop concrete and realistic goals that guide our actions and activities toward improving CTE Center Life.

A high performing Center Life Team is guided by a core set of standards that promote positive interactions and efficiency. Learning Community Standards foster a basic discipline for high performance teamwork. The following standards are core to building productive Center Life Teams.

Learning Community Standards

  1. Listen actively to understand.
  2. Complete activities on time.
  3. Contribute to team productivity.
  4. Respect each other.
  5. Offer help willingly.
  6. Be organized and prepared.
  7. Share constructive feedback as appropriate

1. We practice “no free rides”

3. We use the digital portfolio and smartsheet

Community Goal & Team Goal

NEEDS:

1. Better communication of opportunities for personal and professional learning

2. Enough time to plan, develop, and implement solutions

3. Evaluate the current use of space

4. Clear definition of roles and responsibilities

5. A visual that illustrates and clarifies CTE’s program teams and members’ scopes and tasks (no org chart)

6. Clear and visually evident signage of CTE’s presence
