This week we are reflecting on reconciliation and what it’s really going to take to heal the wounds of our country.

Whether it is remembering the history of lynching or acknowledging the real-time legacy of white supremacy or returning to the sacred wisdom of our interdependent existence, we’ve got work to do.

Seane Corn talked about her own personal reckoning with privilege and power on this week’s CTZN Podcast episode. In it, she says:

I want to be effective in my leadership and the only way that I believe that I can do that is if I’m committed to the inner work itself, both without apology, and also without excuses. I don’t get to let myself off the hook.

There is no spiritual bi pass or convenient escape hatch for this work. Our future depends on our willingness to confront the whole history of who we are and work towards the collective healing and liberation we all deserve.
