Rebel with a Cause

The world needs all of us right now (from 6/13/18)

We are surrounded by teachers. Some of them teach us through food. Some of them teach us through story. Some of them teach us through heartbreak. But if you are really paying attention, the teachers are everywhere.

This week, we turn to the people in our lives who can hold the complex reality that we live in. They don’t speak with caution. They don’t shy away. They lean in with furious curiosity and courage to better understand ourselves and one another. And they hold it all with love.

From Anthony Bourdain to Mark Gonzales to Rep Pramila Jayapal to Justice Sotomayor to Jamia Wilson to America Ferrara…we live amongst great teachers and we are them ourselves.

May we know our power and be rebels with a cause. Because the world needs all of us right now.
