There is an inner revolution emerging. It’s happening on yoga mats, meditation cushions, at coops, in creative living spaces and more. On January 21st, communities of wellbeing are joining women and men from around the world for a historic march of love, justice and solidarity.

Learn about how we’re coming together in D.C. and in cities across the country to practice justice and demonstrate solidarity in action.

ONGOING:

In addition to tagging @womensmarch and #womensmarch, contribute to the collective story of wellbeing communities in action by tagging us on social media (CTZNWELL) + use #wagewellbeing (we’ll be re-posting all weekend)!. Also be use #WeThePeople and credit the artist when sharing photos from the amazing artwork we will be carrying in D.C.

Join the wellbeing community group to get the scoop on meet-up points, invites to special events, access to free resources and more.

Note: it is not unlikely that cell service will be limited or unavailable as so many people gather together. And while there are resources for getting connected and re-charged, we recommend saving an image to your phone and a paper note of the day’s schedule with times, addresses, and directions. Be sure to check to the Facebook group before heading out to get the most up-to-date information!

In Washington DC:

FRIDAY:

All are welcome on Friday, January 20th as we come together for a unique vigil to commemorate the inaugural transition with consciousness and courage. We will be inspired by Marianne Williamson and others through practice and conversation that explores why are here, what solidarity looks like and how we will march and move forward together. Together, we will engage boldly in the issues that impact our people and planet and put forth a vision for our country that we all deserve.

SATURDAY MORNING:

Join Seane Corn, CTZNWELL and other wellbeing community leaders for a pre-march gathering and meditation. Following a practice rooted in love and solidarity, we will then move together in conscious action to the Women’s March on Washington.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON:

Meet up at All Souls Unitarian Church (1500 Harvard Street) Friends of the Earth, NARAL Pro-Choice America, National Education Association, National Organization for Women, People For the American Way, Public Citizen, Southern Poverty Law Center and dozens of allies are providing a warm space for folks coming to the Women’s March — and other progressive events taking place inauguration weekend — to gain a deeper understanding of the critical challenges facing our nation, find ways to plug into grassroots campaigns that tackle those challenges, connect with people from a vast array of movements and acquire skills to become more effective organizers at home.

The program consists of an array of panels and workshopsabout critical grassroots campaigns for the coming year — from campaigns rooted in protecting the rights of women, immigrants, Muslims and people of color to campaigns geared towards demanding democracy, economic justice and a healthy environment.

ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Here are 3 ways you can lead a wellbeing group in your city:

  1. Create a Facebook group titled “WELLBEING COMMUNITY AT WOMEN’S MARCH, [YOUR CITY]” to help connect people to meet-up points, special events, and other resources throughout the weekend. Be sure to post the link to your local group in the larger group on Facebook so we can stay connected across the country as we roll out further ways we can support one another after the March.
  2. Plan with leaders from your community and host a sit in or mass-meditation. Gather together with your posters, artwork, and your people at a set meeting place prior to the March’s start for a collective practice rooted in love and solidarity.
  3. Share photos, videos, and other stories from the March and help us tell the national story of solidarity in action. Tag CTZNWELL, #wagewellbeing, #WeThePeople + @womensmarch, #womensmarch. We’ll be sharing and re-sharing throughout the weekend!
