David-serial hit-maker-Adeleke, popularly known as ‘Davido’ heralded his new age with only the second album of his fairly lengthy career at the turn of the day.

It has been 7 long years since his last album but you wouldn’t notice because he lives on the charts.

Since his debut album, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ what has followed is a string of consistent mind boggling hits.

And his album is no different; at first listen one would think of it as a compilation of his greatest hits because all the songs on it could easily make the cut. It is a compilation of album-promoting-single worthy songs.

He calls it ‘A Good Time’ which is exactly what you would have listening to it. No. Bad. Song.

It contains everything you come to expect from a Davido single: his beautiful raspy voice, yelling, catchy unforgettable lyrics, yelling, fast paced rhyming, aggressive serenading and yelling.

However, what it lacks is diversity, the entire album feels like one long track.

Davido has never been known for being eclectic. There is a higher chance of Adele dropping an Amy Winehouse diss track titled ‘ You really should’ve gone to Rehab’ than Davido experimenting with his sound.

For many Artistes, this would be a point of concern but for Davido it doesn’t seem to matter. He is Davido. He is a shooting star in a blockbuster. He is a young stunner. He has a formula that works for him and we absolutely cannot get enough of it.

He promised a good time and he delivered.
