We have a difficult announcement to make. It’s with heavy hearts that we let you know Cucumbertown as a platform will be discontinuing its services and will be fully retired by March 31st, 2017.

We worked hard to make food blogging a livelihood through our platform but the stakeholders could no longer see a sustainable business around it. It’s been a great journey, and we’re proud of the impact and grateful to the community that helped make it possible so far.

We know saying goodbye to Cucumbertown will be hard for many. We understand that this won’t be an easy transition, and we’re working hard to make this process as easy as possible. We are committed to maintaining the backend service during the sunset period, and are providing guide & export tool to help migrate blogs to other platform. Our engineering team is there to support you till the end. For more details on migration, check out our migration guide here.

Here are the timelines:

  • Monetization will be stopped, as of the end of December 31, 2016
  • Technical support will be stopped, as of the end of March 31, 2017

Thank you to everyone who helped bring Cucumbertown to life, whether by spreading the word, letting us know what you liked (and didn’t like), or simply using the product. You taught us so much, and we’re deeply grateful.

If you have any technical questions about the export process or anything else, please feel free to reach out to us on our support chat or @ info@cucumbertown.com
