We are upgrading our testnet to introduce new functionality and make the environment more robust. This follows the successful launch of phase two, Buzz, of our incentivised testnet, Project Artemis, on the 8th of November.

Update

We’re going to have a Public Testnet upgrade later in the week. This is going to be a hard fork. The main reason for the network upgrade is the introduction of the NFT module functionality.

We’ve already successfully completed the private testnet upgrade. We’re currently working on testing the Public Tesnet upgrade and on the instructions on what needs to be done within the process, to ensure a smooth upgrade for our Public Testnet Validators.

Background

At the end of September, we went live with the first phase of our incentivised testnet, Project Artemis. This first Apollo phase primarily featured tasks for onboarding Validators and developers, as well as collecting insights from our growing community.

Over 22,000 developers registered initially, giving us useful feedback for improving and evolving our network. After reviewing and analysing all responses, we’ll start distributing rewards to whitelisted validators over the coming weeks and to developers and the rest of the validators after the mainnet launch in early 2022.

We’re also delighted to share the list of all developer winners who completed tasks and earned rewards during phase one.

Last week, with the beginning of phase two, Buzz, we officially launched the Cudos Network ecosystem. This is enabling developers to test smart contracts on Cudos, as well as to start building anything they want on our network.

Participants in phase two can also try out the Gravity Bridge for moving assets between the Cudos Network and Ethereum (Rinkeby). At the same time, Validators are maintaining the testnet by keeping their nodes fully operational and performing while also contributing by testing governance proposals.

How to join and get rewards?

You can get involved right away, by following the links below:

Join Cudos’ Discord server | Join Cudos’ Telegram community | Buy CUDOS | Become a Cudos’ ambassador

Notably, you’ll receive rewards based on the tasks you complete as part of the testnet. Whitelisted validators will receive their rewards after each phase, while developers and non-whitelisted validators will receive native CUDOS tokens delivered to their wallets after we launch our mainnet.

P.S. If you’ve already bought your CUDOS tokens, you can make the most of them by staking them on our platform to secure the network and, in return, receive rewards.

About Cudos

The Cudos Network is a layer one blockchain and layer two computation and oracle network designed to ensure decentralised, permissionless access to high-performance computing at scale and enable scaling of computing resources to 100,000’s of nodes. Once bridged onto Ethereum, Algorand, Polkadot, and Cosmos, Cudos will enable scalable compute and Layer 2 Oracles on all of the bridged blockchains.
