🚀 We’re launching phase three, Armstrong, of our incentivised testnet — Project Artemis! 🌖
Today, 6th of December 2021, we’re launching phase 3, Armstrong, of our incentivised testnet, Project Artemis. You can now Earn CUDOS tokens for completing Developer or Validator tasks on the public testnet. Check the tasks and participate now!
The announcement comes on the heels of the successful completion of phase two (Buzz), which saw significant feature upgrades coupled with rigorous testing of the network-wide hard fork. These achievements, built on round-the-clock efforts by our team to address feedback from developers and validators, paved the way for the commencement of the third phase as we continue to build momentum towards our mainnet launch early next year.
Background
In September, we launched our incentivised testnet, Project Artemis. The first phase, named Apollo, focused on various starter tasks for onboarding validators and developers, collecting feedback, and expanding the community. The successful completion of the Apollo phase led to the project’s second phase (Buzz), which commenced in early November.
Throughout Project Artemis, we solidified our rapidly growing ecosystem by onboarding developers and forging strategic partnerships, as highlighted in our most recent newsletter. Prominent among those partnerships was the Tingo-Cudos alliance to tackle the poverty premium in Africa, which would effectively grant millions of individuals access to our distributed compute technology.
Highlights of phase 3
Armstrong will see the implementation of adversarial stress tests to validate the network’s readiness for the Mainnet launch. This would entail subjecting the network to a series of performance tests under unusual and strenuous circumstances. The phase will also provide incentives for developers and validators to try out functionalities such as voting on a governance proposal, proposing a non-valid block, and minting an NFT, bringing increased diversity in transaction activity on the Network.
In addition, phase 3 will allow developers to test the network’s NFT module, IBC protocol, and the new governance proposal. The performance feedback on these exercises will inform rigorous improvements heading into the 4th and final phase of Project Artemis.
We are encouraging developers and Validators alike to participate in phase 3 and earn their CUDOS token rewards for completing tasks. In addition, there’s up to $375 worth of tokens to be earned from participating in the tasks, so dive into the documentation and get involved in Project Artemis.
How to join and get rewards?
You can get involved right away by following the links below:
- Join the Cudos’ Discord server
- Join the Cudos’ Telegram community
- Buy CUDOS tokens
- Become a Cudos’ ambassador.
Also, can you please visit our dedicated docs page to learn more about the tasks and start earning rewards?
Alternatively, please join our bounty program, where we will be offering financial rewards for successful attempts at exposing lapses in our network’s security. Infrastructure.
Rewards will be distributed based on the completion of testnet tasks. After each phase, validators will receive their prizes, while developers will receive native CUDOS airdropped to their wallets following the mainnet launch.
P.S. If you’ve already bought your CUDOS tokens, you can make the most of them by staking them on our platform to secure the network and, in return, receive rewards.
About Cudos
The Cudos Network is a layer 1 blockchain and layer 2 computation and oracle network designed to ensure decentralised, permissionless access to high-performance computing at scale. It enables the scaling of computing resources to hundreds of thousands of nodes. Once bridged onto Ethereum, Algorand, Polkadot and Cosmos, Cudos will enable scalable computational and layer-two oracles on all bridged blockchains.
