Schezwan Cheese Fritters

If you’re a person like me who craves for evening snacks, then this is the recipe for you!

Spicy Indian snack with a hint of cheese and schezwan sauce.

Prep time: 11–15 minutes

Cook time: 6–10 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup processed cheese (grated)
  • 2 tsp schezwan chutney
  • 1 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup refined flour (maida)
  • 4–5 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup spring onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Salt as per taste
  • Buttermilk (as required)
  • Oil to deep fry

Method:

In a mixing bowl, add grated cheese, maida, salt, baking soda, onion, spring onion, garlic, schezwan chutney, and required amount of buttermilk (depending on the consistency of dough) and mix to form a dough.

Shape the mixture into any shape of your choice and slide them into hot oil and deep fry till golden and crisp.

Serve the fritters with homemade chutney or sauce of your choice.
