GOAL

The students are involved directly, have their understanding checked and practice their capability of arguing.

STEP-BY-STEP

  • ‍The teacher poses a question and gives a set of possible answers in a multiple-choice format. (1 minute.)
  • The students reflect on the question and votes in Mentimeter. (1 minute.)
  • The teacher asks the students to find a person next to them who has voted differently.
  • In pairs, the students try to convince one another of the correctness of their individual answers. (3–5 minutes.)
  • Again, the students vote individually.
  • The teacher goes through the new answers and results via the classroom screen. (5 minutes.)
