How to do Think-Pair-Share in your teaching
GOAL
The students have the opportunity to reflect on a question and then discuss their answer or opinion with a fellow student to find a joint solution. The activity increases the activity, and there are more answers than is the case when asking questions in the traditional way.
STEP-BY-STEP
- The teacher presents a question or a dilemma to the students. (1 minute.)
- The students reflect on their answer without talking together. (1–2 minutes.)
- In pairs or triads, the student discuss their individual answers and write their input in Mentimeter .
- The answers are shown on the classroom screen and the teachers wraps up.
