What a few weeks it has been here on campus! From pop-up performances to Fire Breathers, we can certainly thank the Campus Live team for making campus this term a joyful place to be.

But it’s not over yet. The Campus Live team mark the finale this Wednesday (14th December). Here’s a rundown of how staff, students and visitors can celebrate the last few days before the festive holidays begin.

1. Stay cool at Leeds’ own winter wonderland.

Location: outside Leeds University Union

Time: 2pm

Angel wings, photo booths and a bar, all made out of ice — what’s not to love?

Sand in your Eye are back this Wednesday to build a frosty magical wonderland for students and staff to mark the finale of the Campus Live programme.

The winter wonderland will be built in the morning, with drinks ready to be served from 2pm. Why not mark the end of the year with friends, family and colleagues with a unique winter experience?

2. Can you hear the sleigh bells jingling?

Location: Beech Grove Plaza

Time: 12.15pm

A Cappella student society — The Songsmiths

Get into the festive spirit this Wednesday lunchtime for an A Cappella singing performance by The Songsmiths. The performance will kick-start at 12.15 and will incorporate Christmas music and other favourites.

3. Glitter Bomb Dancers Christmas Show.

Location: inside Leeds University Union

Time: 12–2pm

Yorkshire’s own Glitter Bomb Dancers perform parts of their Christmas show ‘Cracked Nuts: Camper than Christmas’, a cabaret remake of family classic The Nutcracker.

Enjoy free hot chocolate, tea, coffee or other soft drinks as you watch. The performance will be intermittent between 12 and 2pm.

Most events take place outside in wheelchair accessible locations on campus. In cases of bad weather, events may be moved indoors but care will be taken to maintain wheelchair accessible routes. Please see information for disabled visitors for details of accessible routes and facilities. If you would like help with specific accessibility needs, please contact the Campus Live team in advance on campuslive@leeds.ac.uk.

You can also enjoy concerts at Clothworkers Centenary Concert Hall, theatre at stage@leeds, and events and exhibitions in our libraries.
