When I was a young archaeologist, I had the misfortune to work on a crew with Mayonnaise Stan (name changed to protect the weird).

Mayonnaise Stan was an unusual individual, but we’ve all run across someone similar I suspect. He was young — fresh out of college — and awkward in a way that was painful to watch.
