Some of the first advice I usually give new archaeologists is to be good to their feet. This is especially important as rain-and-snow season is upon us.
Archaeologists, hikers, construction workers, or anyone else who spends long periods on their feet exposed to the elements will usually have strong feelings about boots, so it seems an appropriate place to start.
