Together with our knowledge partners ( Microsoft and McKinsey & Company) Culturati has established Leadership as one of the three pillars for our programming in 2023 — the three pillars: Leadership Reimagined, Talent in a Hybrid World and Future of the Workplace (more in February & March issues on the latter two).

We’ll host breakouts on the latest findings on effective leadership in today’s “post” COVID world — especially exploring the generational and gender sensitive nuances.

We’ll overlay what we’re learning from neuroscience and epigenetics to obtain the best & most sustainable performance from employees who thrive not only at work but in their communities. This ties to new definitions of productivity which include specifications for safety and rest. These are necessary to avoid burnout, creating the conditions to foster adaptability and empathy.

Women in Leadership: Companies are finding that systemic obstacles hinder the rise of women in leadership. What are they discovering and how are they addressing these obstacles will be the topic of our Summit’s opening keynote.

In our “post” COVID world full of millennials, Zoomers (a new term I’m learning for Gen Zers) & Gen Alpha, are there differences in leading these young people? I’m reading the Center for Generational KineticsThe State of Gen Z 2021–2022 Report and note respect and appreciation at work are likely pillars of Gen Z engagement.

And, while we are designing the Future of Work, it’s important to realize “65% of Gen Z who worked remotely last year actually felt more connected to their coworkers, 62% reported being more productive, 58% felt more open and honest with their team, and 53% said they trusted their team more.” Remote work may be a different experiences for Gen Z than for other generations, for a generation raised completely with ubiquitious online communication. CGK did find that most Gen Z employees would agree to show up at the office 5 days a week and believe being physically present impacts their future. Yet, nearly 40% value flexible work hours nearly as much as salary & wages when choosing a job.

We’re excited to be planning the 2023 Summit. We will announce speakers in February and March. As you know, past keynote speakers include Cynt Marshall (CEO Dallas Mavericks), David Brooks (NYT Columnist & Author), Arianna Huffington (Founder, The Huffington Post & Thrive), Admr. James G. Starvidis (USN (Ret.) Former Supreme Allied Commander, NATO), Patty McCord (Former CTO, Netflix), Tristan J. Walker (Founder/CEO, Walker & Company Brands) and R.C. Buford ( CEO, San Antonio Spurs).

We so appreciate that McKinsey & Company, Microsoft, the Coon Family Foundation, DLA Piper, HEB, NI who have already committed as sponsors with heaps of others in formation. More on Culturati Summit at https://culturatisummit.com/

Enthusiastically,

Eugene
