Until recently there was not much research and statistics on those who identify with an international background as there is today. A lot of business consider stepping into this territory, they consider “entering new markets”. They consider these groups of people that identify with these backgrounds as new markets not because these people were never around but because they have never specifically targeted people within these demographics.

Globalization allows these companies to finally capture ideas from a greater number of new and different markets.

  1. Range from a wide variety of cultural perspectives.

2. Engage firms therefore have more opportunities to learn.

3. Capitalize untapped markets.

Although investing in diverse talent will result in efficiency in driving profits, some people disagree. Tim Brook an author and historian that specializes in the history of China believes globalization should drive different perspectives and drive creativity but should not be used to capitalize on untapped markets. He quoted supporting details such as “enrich himself without talking of profit” , where he introduces two examples of past experiences that failed in result of what he mentions “talking of profit”(Brook, 2002 Page 38).
