Markets do not care. Newer ways of doing things frequently create markets that end up consuming or displacing existing ones. This leads to both displaced labour and capital. Gary Vaynerchuk, an entrepreneur, author and public figure, has an interesting anecdote to share about the impact of such disruptions.
