Osa (@osanorth) slides through to kick it on IDB. Host Swisha Pearl (@cuff_yobic) poses with the local artist.

In Chicago, the hip-hop scene is as diverse and eccletic as it is widespread and polarizing. As the city experiences a musical renassaince, artists have built their following on styles not native to the Windy City.

Local artist and afrobeats enthusiast OSA of FONTSNATION is a testament to the growing, local music scene in the Chi. The North Sider is not like your typical music artist but he’s also not the typical talent. What starts off as a rhythmic freestyle could easily become a hook on the next club banger for OSA. Walking the line of hip-hop, R&B and afrobeats, OSA composes edgy songs that have emotional and relatable themes.

He joined us on the West Side for another sensational session to talk about his roots, why he start the fashion brand North Pole Enterprise and how his female fans have responded to his latest single, “her favorite song.”
