On this week’s podcast, Fernando Ramirez speaks with Kathryn Chaplow of Katheryn Chaplow LLC Interior Design. After working for a design firm for seven years, Kathryn decided that it was time to move on and start her own business.

Starting Kathryn Caplow LLC Interior Design was a choice she made to spend more time with her family, which plays a large role in her approach to designing spaces. Chaplow believes that great interior design elevates quality of life, so colorful and playful gestures can be found in spaces she works on.

Chaplow and Ramirez talk about her background in residential, commercial, and medical spaces, and how it has taught her to work through layer by layer of a space when designing.

The interiors Chaplow works with are commonly full of local art, books, and other personal objects that bring out the personality and vision of each client.

Chaplow’s love of problem solving, and her unique approach design, help her stand out in Grand Rapids.
