Competition to commission: How the new ArtPrize cadence opens new opportunities
The new ArtPrize calendar has its now-biennial competition taking turns with a biennial immersive city-wide public art project, starting with Project 1 in 2019.

Gift of the real: How the Kent County millage is panning out at our Public Museum
A November 2016 millage made it possible for the Grand Rapids Public Museum to offer free admission to Kent County residing children — and just $5 for their parents.
“People crave engagement and communal experiences,” Kocienski says. “Something interactive. The real thing. And we have so much of the real thing here and so much for people to experience.”
GVSU concert series to feature carillonneurs from around the country
Carillonneurs from around the U.S. will travel to Grand Valley State University this summer to fill the air around both campuses with music during the International Carillon Concert Series.
