Recommendation: For anyone in need of increasing their fuckin’ productivity by 90%. “Anomalisa” takes place over the course of two days in [sin city] Cincinnati where a successful customer service coach is to give a lecture. This stop-motion modern masterpiece took over 2 years to complete with 1,261 characters and over 1,000 props comprised of 118,089 frames.

Cameraperson (2016)

Rotten Tomatoes: 100%

Available to stream on Amazon Prime

Recommendation: For those who care about the welfare of people including those from different countries/cultures. “Cameraperson” is an extraordinary documentary which explores the various projects from around the world that the filmmaker has captured and the time she has shared with her subjects. This was a great film to watch multiple times, (I saw it three times on the big screen) and it always taught me something new.

The Lobster (2016)

Rotten Tomatoes: 90%

Available to stream on Amazon Prime

Recommendation: For those who have given up all hope in humanity. It’s Tinder the movie with pets. Single adults are sent to a resort. They have 45 days to find a partner, or they turn into an animal. Which animal would you want to be?
