Art of the Week: Alex Chaves

This week we’re featuring the artwork of Alex Chaves. Chaves is a Los Angeles-based painter (and poet) who, at times, evokes the impressionist style of Paul Cézanne. He has a brighter palette than the classic impressionist artists though, which gives his artwork an incredibly vibrant feel. Much of his work is also charged with a sexual energy.
