The first is about two woman who reunite with unfinished business, the next is a true tale of a television newswoman and the last is a young nun returning home to her estranged family.

Anne Heche vs. Sandra Oh

Catfight (2017)

Rotten Tomatoes: 73%

Available to stream on Netflix

Recommendation: For those who aren’t sensitive to witty criticism of modern society. This black and blue comedy from writer/director Onur Tukel pulls loads of punches and delivers in its promise of fisticuffs. Not only are the two leads spectacular, but also the performances from Alicia Silverstone, Myra Lucretia Taylor and Ariel Kavoussi.

Rebecca Hall as Christine Chubbuck

Christine (2016)

Rotten Tomatoes: 88%

Available to stream on Netflix

Recommendation: For those who are mad as hell and not going to take this anymore! During the 1970s, Christine Chubbuck was a struggling television reporter. Rebecca Hall gives a phenomenal performance as a sufferer of depression trying to excel in her field.

Sister Addison Timlin

Little Sister (2016)

Rotten Tomatoes: 95%

Available to stream on Netflix

Recommendation: For the black sheep of the family who are unapologetic about being true to one’s self. After learning that her brother has returned, a former goth girl turned nun goes back to her hometown. “Little Sister” is a modern period film that subverts familiar family tropes in a unique way.
