Artist: XXYYXX
Background: XXYYXX is the creation of eighteen year old electronic music producer Marcel Everett. Signed to Relief in Abstract, Everett is creating complex, layered music, working in his bedroom using Ableton. To me, his music sounds a bit like Burial “light,” as the layers of darkness and heaviness so present in Burial’s music is lifted here. The music is catchy, builds well, and has a way of getting inside my head. Here it is:
