How to manage DYM with MetaMask wallet

⌘ How to Import your RollApp Key to Metamask
You must have your hub_sequencer key to be able to import your RollApp wallet to an EVM wallet.
To do so, please follow the Dymension documentation on exporting keys:
roller keys export hub_sequencer
Once you have the hub_sequencer key open MetaMask and create a new account in Add account or hardware wallet:
Access in to Import account:
Paste the hub_sequencer key in the Enter your private key string here field and click the Import button:
⌘ How to check the DYM balance of an EVM wallet
Open your MetaMask wallet.
To check your DYM balance of your wallet copy the address 0x
Open the block explorer:
Paste the address at the top and you will see your DYM balance:
⌘ How to send your DYM from an EVM wallet to a Cosmos DYM wallet
The first thing you need to do is to connect Metamask to Portal.
Log in to Portal:
To connect the wallet to Portal click on Connect. In case it is already connected to another wallet you can disconnect it:
Allows MetaMask to add the Dymension network by pressing the Connect button:
Click the Approve button to allow metamask to add the network data:
Click the Switch Network button to allow metamask to switch networks:
You will now be able to see your connected wallet at the top of the Portal:
If you click on MetaMask you will be able to see your balance:
⌘ How to change MetaMask RPCs
In the event that Portal returns an error when performing MetaMask transactions, it may be that the RPC is down or busy:
To fix this we can change the MetaMask RPC by following these steps:
- Open MetaMask.
- Go to Settings
- Select Networks
If you have already connected to the DYM network, just go to Add network:
Click on Add network manually:
Enter the following fields and click on Save:
Network name: Dymension
New RPC URL: https://dym.json-rpc.cumulo.com.es/
Chain ID: 1100
Currency symbol: DYM
Block explorer URL: https://dym.fyi/
A confirmation message will appear, click on Switch to Dymension:
You can now connect to Portal, if you have already done so, refresh the page to refresh the connection.
⌘ How to move funds from Metamask to Cosmos DYM
To move funds to a Cosmos DYM wallet you first have to copy the address, for example in Keprl.
Click on Copy Address:
Select the Dymension network (the one starting with dym…)
Click on the MetaMask wallet and go to Withdraw funds:
Paste your dym address and choose the amount of funds you want to send, click on Withdraw:
Click on Sign to approve the transaction:
And again in Sign:
A confirmation message will appear:
Check your Keprl wallet to see how much funds you are able to receive, always remember to test small amounts first.
