I have wanted to try ANA’s newer Business Class suites, which ANA calls “The Room,” for quite some time now since they released it back in 2019. Of course Covid happened shortly after, and with ANA award availability becoming increasingly more difficult to snag, my opportunity to experience it did not come until last month for my annual Japan trip.

Check-In / Boarding:

The process was extremely easy, so much so that I was surprised I didn’t need to talk to an agent — especially since I flew into ORD on a separate domestic flight and with the terminals all connected, I didn’t need to exit and reenter the terminal.

I checked in online within 24 hours of my flight, and I requested my boarding pass to be sent to my email. It sends a QR code an email for a QR code as boarding pass. I went to the gate to talk to an agent just to make sure I had everything I needed, and they said all I needed was the QR code, which I could also use to enter any of the Star Alliance lounges. Even though the domestic United Club was closest, they let me know that I could use the Polaris lounge a bit further away — which I did and reviewed here.
