Since our launch in March, Curbsy Malta has grown quite rapidly. Despite everything happening in Malta and globally, we’ve grown from 0 to over 300 properties, with new ones coming in daily now.

Every now and then, a place really grabs me. I start daydreaming about what it would really be like to live in [location]. And sure, the place needs [some/a lot/extensive] work, but doesn’t that [floor/garden/view/stained glass/wine cellar] make it worth it?

(You can fill in those blanks any which way — my responses change as new and interesting properties come in.)

The latest to set me dreaming is a townhouse in Xewkija, Gozo, a place I never would have thought to consider as a future place of residence until I saw this home.

And sure, it needs extensive work, but the tile floors and garden are so unusual and so interesting, I’d be willing to take up that challenge. In my daydreams, at least.

This place is just €524,000 (reduced from €610,000!) with extensive grounds with mature orange and other fruit trees, plus some amazing mosaic tiles.

There was even a bit of collective daydreaming about this property, as the rest of the team is as enamoured of it as I am. We had some semi-serious (say, 5% serious, really) discussion around collating our savings to buy it as a group to share, but the talks hit a snag when we couldn’t agree on where to put the pool. Rooftop or garden? I wouldn’t want to dig up any of the orange trees, but the land is large enough for an orchard and a pool area, with room to spare.
