Open offices claim to be in vogue these days. Major enterprise collaboration platforms are being invested in to boost the employee productivity. Considerable time, money and effort is spent on adopting new ways of working for knowledge sharing, effective communication and information transparency.
Why then are emails still a premiere form of communication? 28% of our work week is spent in emails. And this number of emails in our inbox still remains a constant.
What is then the true purpose of an email when the recipient is just a call, video con or literally 20 steps aways from you?
